War zones, training fields, oceans, firegrounds—wherever I work, I look for the human trace beneath the uniform.

Afghanistan remains with me not in slogans but in contrasts: the stillness of mountains surrounding Bagram, unmoving and eternal, against the chaos unfolding at their feet. In that silence, every expression felt sharper—the fatigue, the uncertainty, the brief flickers of humanity between the demands of war.

Since then, I’ve carried the same eye to Florida’s restless coasts, firelines that roar louder than sirens, and the unguarded hours of police and service members. My camera lingers on sweat carving lines into faces, the weight of exhaustion in a medic’s hands, or resilience found in unexpected places.

This portfolio is less about duty than presence—about seeing what surfaces when the noise breaks, and holding it still long enough for others to feel it.
